Off loading footage directly off the camera? - 10 years ago
We have a p2 deck but it's on the fritz. So I need to try to off load already recorded footage off the p2 while in the camera to FCP7. How do I do this? I have a.... Panasonic HPX 3000 FCP 7.0.3 Mac OS X, version 10.6.8 Thanks everyone!by Laurie - Café LA

Recently we got new computers at my work and I lost all my "Favorites" websites. I put back LAFCPUG, Creative Cow, DVXUser, Lynda, and a few others to the list. Does anyone know what format tends to be more popular and successful when narrating a documentory? 1. Having the person who interviews the subject do VO and do on camera narratives 2. Have only the subjects interviews themselves guide the documentary along 3. Never meeting the person asking the questions and having a VO be the guide to each topic.by Laurie - Café LA

referring to what Derek said, I feel that Mac's have risen tremendously based on iphone and ipad popularity. A lot of people are PC users because they are intimidated to learn OSX but now have had practice with ipads. This is just my theory. I wish I knew the actually stats on this. It would be interesting to see a comparison of sales compared to 5 years ago.by Laurie - Café LA

I just concerned that one day Mac's will be like Troy. iphones and pads are huge. I don't see why someone wouldn't come up with a virus. In most cases customers purchasing these products right out of the gate has expendable income. Why not try to break in and see their accounts and what not? There are virus for Droid phones and we all know about playstation. Is Mac really that impenetrablby Laurie - Café LA

recently and currently I couldn't download software updates (have posted this before) and also I notice my internal camera on my macbook will be on what seems to be randomly at times. I am suspicious it's a virus or because it's about 4 years old, it just could need some kind of maintance.by Laurie - Café LA

Mac computers are becoming increasingly popular, even in the military. Would it be safe to say that it's a good investment to get software to protect your mac from viruses? Or do you feel that there still isn't enough viruses out there that will hurt your Mac as long as you continue to run software updates?by Laurie - Café LA

wow! I hate to say it, but this looks like a neccessary reshoot. What is the video for? movie, commerical, music video, doc? maybe you can use the sd footage as a 24 (tv show) style look or something creative like that. Otherwise, I think you may have to make your wide screen match your sd. camera buzz? you mean you picked up audio buzz while shooting. My experience is bad audio is bad audio. Bby Laurie - Café LA

I did downloading only and an error message came up "None of the checked updates could be saved. sorry, an unexpected error occurred." then on new software list there are red caution signs next to it!by Laurie - Café LA

Just a quick question before I pay $$$$$ for apple help. My macbook (about 3 years old) won't download that latest updates for my software. Keep saying they are available, I select to download them, I agree to the terms, Downloading begins, the macbook restarts, but when I run software updates again the software that I supposedly updated is still popping up! One sided phone call - 12 years ago
I received a copy of a phone call that is .avi extention when I import it into soundtrack pro I only hear the caller and not the person receiving the call. When I play the audio in quicktime I have the same problem but when I play it in windows media player I get both sides of the phone call. I am guessing soundtrack doesn't like .avi extentions. Sometimes I have the same problem with deinterlacing not showing with a cross fade. What I would suggest is copy your effect from the clip (ie Veescope Key)and then delete the effect. Then highlight the clip with the crossfade, then paste the effect back. Do the same for the other side of the crossfade (ie the next shot). make sense?by Laurie - Café LA
