Re: Motion Crashes after installing new fonts - 15 years agoThanks for the warning, Joe. Actually, I trashed my preferences and it's been working fine since then. Hope it's not a fluke that trashing prefs would fix it and I don't have a time bomb waiting to go off... Should I still remove the fonts anyway?by shelleyrae - Motion Motion Crashes after installing new fonts - 15 years agoHi, I just added a few fonts to my font folder from www.1001freefonts.com. Now Motion is crashing and giving me a message something like it "could be related to an Ozone third party plug in." Since I just added new fonts, I'm thinking this is the problem. Is there a way to fix this without having to reinstall my software? I would shoot that full frame at the beginning of each scene on each camera. Then once my footage is loaded I apply the color corrector to the chart and use the eyedropper to balance the blackest black, whitest white and the middle gray (background the three chip charts are on?) Joey - can you explain in more detail how to use the MacBeth chart? Whenever I use these two cameras I notice that the XL1 has an orange-pink cast and I wind up having to do a ton of color correction to get the footage from the two cameras to match. I have heard that there have been complaints about this with the XL1 color and that there was a special card you could use to "white balance" frby shelleyrae - Café LA Re: Subclip Organization - Getting rid of the 'from [clipname] suffix' when creating subclips - 15 years agoActually I haven't been using markers at all. I just mark an in and out in the viewer and hit command U and then it's placed into the browser. I realize from this thread that it's being placed under the master clip where it came from.
