fcp shortcuts on macbook pro - 16 years ago

Just bought a macbook pro, I mostly edit on my G4, I enjoy useing the short cuts keys to edit. On the macbook pro (when using FCP) the f9 and f10 insert and overwrite don't respond (other do). They actually respond as if FCP is not even open, f10 being screen brightness? The default shortcuts are all set correctly? Any ideas? Thanks Mitch

hope this isn't too off topic. I just bought a macbook pro. when i burn a dvd (from fcp timeline compressed to quicktime) in idvd. it plays on the laptop but not on my mac g4 desktop? It tells me i put in an empty DVD? any suggestions. thanks Mitch

filter applied to clip in browser? - 16 years ago

Hi, When I trim a clip in the veiwer, let's say a 10 second clip from a 20 minute main clip in the browser. and I put it on my time line, then apply a filter to the clip on the timeline. the filter is automaticly applied to the whole clip in the browser? How do I stop that from happening? Thanks Mitch

Stuck CD/DVD door - 16 years ago

Our G4 tower's CD/DVD drive door is stuck closed. There's a disc in there right now, but it doesn't show up anywhere on the computer, so we can't even drag the icon to the trash to eject it. Anybody have any ideas as to how we can get it open? Thanks everyone, Mitchell

Hi, Does anyone know If I can upgrade to FC Studio from overseas? I'm upgradeing from FCP 4.5. It would save a nice cunk of cash. They want twice the price here. Who can I ask? Mitch
