If you leave them disabled you get a world of pain, because even if you tick synch audio to video, the 2 hour digitize audio is out of synch. First we recorded to CD but the client complained about the CD changeover breaks every 72 minutes. Today we used a blackburst generator, a DVDCAM recorder and a 184 tape. So usually I select the reds, then the oranges, then the greens. I like my smaller movies 10 mins or less to be all blue on the timeline. does this help? But I am running Tiger and now I know of potential issues with 10.5; I think I will wait for all the bugs to be ironed out! My consumer quality UPS decided to fail during a brownout; and it wiped out one of my HMV u320 raid drives (Huge Systems) I was able to remount and scavenge as much info back using DISK WARRIOR 4; which is great for such data crises. The moral of the story... Get yourself a military of high-end industrial UPS (it's on order). I can not find a way to change the gamma (which is now set wrong by FCP Studio 2) for my 95% Avi production. Any ideas. I was hoping that this issue was more common and an easier solution could be found. It will not drop frames on record but will drop frames right off the start. Here is the problem: When you first load a project and digitize the footage; scrubbing is virtually instant from anywhere to anywhere; but as you edit the footage by razor-blading it; the scrubber becomes more sluggish until it reaches a point where it will bring up the hourglass (or whatever that Maby mark@avolution - Café LA Re: Is it normal for dropped frames with this configuration? - 16 years agoI have tried and tried this method on the Capture Scratch drive (Huge System U320 to UL4D dual scsi controller) and it doesn't work; it allows you to highlight verify on the RAID drive, but will not let you turn off journaling. (I was asking for assistance as I was constantly getting dropped frames on (playback only) 10 bit uncompressed SD with a UL4D coupled to a Huge U320S array.)
