Re: Quality and "jaggedness" of imported motion files and or graphics - 17 years agosorry, i checked the settings, it is indeed set to Safe RT, and not unlimited. One sure 100% way around it is to do all the "motion" effects in a 3d package, such as 3ds max; which has the summed area table filtering and the supersampling built into all renders (if selected) and render out in fields at 720x486 SD.by mark@avolution - Café LA Re: Quality and "jaggedness" of imported motion files and or graphics - 17 years agothanks, it mentions "safe RT"; i know where this is... question though. At present , it is set to unlimited RT; what is the difference between safe RT and unlimited RT.by mark@avolution - Café LA Quality and "jaggedness" of imported motion files and or graphics - 17 years agoFor starters all my settings are set to 10 bit NTSC 29.97 i with either 10 bit set for sequence or uncompressed on the timeline. My graphics and or motion files look fine pre-render; but once I render out the timeline (FCP file is a 30 sec commercial) it seems like half of the video information dissappears in the viewer on the screem. My sequence setting on RENDER is set to use 10bit RGby mark@avolution - Café LA animation frame or field rendered to FCP - 17 years agoWe are starting some 30sx commercials and I was wondering if from the animation package I would have to send the renders out as either frames or field rendered to go into FCP that would be set up for 10 bit uncompressed and then mastered out on Betacam SP. If I imported frames from the animation package, would FCP automatically create the fields that I need when I recorded the commercialsby mark@avolution - Café LA Re: Huge Stripe #1 dissapeared on system - 17 years agomid west media out og michigan is the installer/reseller and they want to ship it to Huge Systems John Foley Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Anyhow - is the vendor who wants the entire > computer back - someone who sponsors this LAFCPUG > group or is it another Apple reseller. > > I ask that since intergrating a RAID system into > aby mark@avolution - Café LA Re: Huge Stripe #1 dissapeared on system - 17 years agoI got a reply from Ciprico who said maybe the SCSI drivers got erased however we still sit at 10.3.9. I guess it would be a Merge/Flattened Effect/From Motion File and would act much like an XREF in Autocad where one file would feed another aby mark@avolution - Motion Re: strategy for first play menu - 17 years agoit's a corporate DVD; and yes I will be doing a short 45 second montage before the main menu comes in. Am I better off (quality wise) to export as an uncompressed QTime or to just import the entire clip as a *.mtn file? This is my first mesage here! I am using DVD Studio to create an interactive DVD and all the meat and potatoes seem quite clear to me (as a 3ds Max scripter-animator and Mac FCP Motion dude) However, here is a question for the gurus I have set up a first play with 480p video and a music track; and one button linked to Track #1 to test the functionality. If you created text in motion, and made particles Motion works flawlessly; however; if you take an avi or mov file and make particles; it does not honour frame zero of the imported sequence (at least with Motion 1.01) As I can't spend the rest of my life debugging software (lots of my time is spent getting 3ds Max working well) I will basicalby mark@avolution - Motion Re: odd behaviour make particles - 17 years agodo i have to ftp on our site or is there a "upload file" function on this board?markspencer wrote: > Can you post the project file?by mark@avolution - Motion Re: odd behaviour make particles - 17 years agoMaybe its time to upgrade to Motion 2.01; but I don't know the procedure.
