Re: Missing Chapter Markers with Quicktime Movie - 14 years agoThanks that was helpful. I figured out the problem. While doing Quicktime movie export, I selected "All Markers", assuming that it would export all markers including the chapter markers. For some reason, the markers were on the Quicktime but didn't import into Compressor. But when I exported "Chapter Markers", the markers remained in Quicktime and Compressor and the Mpeg2 Iby hanguolaohu - Café LA Missing Chapter Markers with Quicktime Movie - 14 years agoFrom my sequence I exported a Quicktime movie (non-self-contained) with chapter markers. I've brought that into Compressor but the chapter markers don't show up, and the Mpeg2 that I output doesn't have chapter markers either. Do I need a self-contained Quicktime to bring in chapter markers? Or what other step did I miss? I looked at it again with an editor and we noticed the frame size on sequence was DV 3:2 (720x480) but it should have been CCIR 601 NTSC (40:27) (720X486) to match the Quicktime movie. A difference of 6 pixels but what a headache! As you can tell I'm still a FCP newbie! I'm assuming CCIR 601 NTSC is the standard for high quality 10 bit movie? I want the DVDSP files ready for a meeting tomorrow morning with my editor and it's asking for 2 hours to turn that green render bar grey. Is it recommended to render? I want to play it safe as going from FCP 4.5 to 6 has introduced several bugs in the project already.
