Derek, I'd love to and believe it I considered it a couple of times but since it's ripped material of stuff I bought though but I don't know if this forum allows me to post the link. I'd love to hear more oppions... One guy lately told me that my stuff is more like a "mood-board"...well, I almost consider this a compliment since so many trailers try to pull off a message and can't.by Katrin1980 - Café LA

oh, you mean I should once sit in the audience for the master, then change angles, e.g. going onto the stage filming from behind or making CUs of the actors, right? yeah, I wouldn't be able to that for that oncology presentation.by Katrin1980 - Café LA

Hi Derek, that was my first thought concerning the sports event: I'm standing there 20 meters away from the action... hm, there might be one thing I could do close at hand...my mom's a nurse and the oncology station would like a presention (for the patients) of the staff and the rooms and things like that. They can't afford anything right now but I could offer to make a 90 seconds thing or so.by Katrin1980 - Café LA

hm...makes sense. But I don't have ppl around me who'd be willing to act (I'm not at Film Academy) and make a short movie or something like that. So I'm on my own...what am I supposed to shoot if there's no one around to act?by Katrin1980 - Café LA

I didn't want to hack it! I didn't know it's protected. I just thought there's some way to import it. If you only have a mini DV camera shooting your own stuff isn't a real alternative and you have to have SOME footage to learn. Thanks for the link Derek!by Katrin1980 - Café LA

I've read that you can import songs from Itunes into FCP but I've tried but couldn't find a way to import movies I bought on Itunes into FCP. Can anyone help? I followed this yesterday on the news tab on Imdb...hoping until this morning that a wonder may happen. It's so horrible. I can't imagine what Liam and their kids must be going through... I bought a DVD ripper a while ago. It works great except the quality is often real bad after ripping...but I always thought that's the only way I can convert the Video/Audio TS files. Will check out this Streamclip now...by Katrin1980 - Café LA

I don't know if anyone is still reading this, I just wanted to say that it worked this time. I've edited my first bigger project (for a big birthday party of a CEO but still...) and I faced the same problems again. Then I did exactly as you guys advised here: output with QT, current settings (pro res), self contained and put it into Compressor, then I built and formatted it in DVD studio and voiby Katrin1980 - Café LA

ahhhhh, just found where you change the settings in livetype (I don't use it that often)! I'll try it right away... I realized what was happening when I created a 29.97 sequence and slips all the clips and titles in (I know it doesn't work that way) and saw that the titles were crisp in there. Now I'll try changing the frame rate in Livetype...by Katrin1980 - Café LA

I think now we're getting somewhere... @Derek: I'm watching the titles on a computer display. They are crisp AFTER export, not before. I watched them too on my external monitor...but nothing changed. High quality is checked. @strypes: I just checked and realized that the Livetype titles are 29.98 NOT 23.98. That's why they are only crisp and clear when I export with settings: prores 422. &quoby Katrin1980 - Café LA

Hi Derek, 1. there's no limit checked for export. 2. no, it stops a couple of frames before the end of a normal shot. followed by another normal shot which it doesn't export anymore. 3. I tried carrying the sequence to a new sequence, just tried opening it up in a new project: not working. 4. all the drives are like half full or have a capacity of 2/3 and more. 5. yes the problem is still thby Katrin1980 - Café LA

but I'm just selecting ntsc prores 422 48 khz ... nothing more. the frame rate in the sequence timeline is 23.98! there's nothing more to select. so why should FCP assume I wanna change the frame rate while exporting? that doesn't make sense.by Katrin1980 - Café LA

My sequence settings are on 23.98. then I select export>qt and then I just select the destination and choose the codec which was prores 422 or poress 422 hq. there's nothing more to select... maybe the default ntsc setting is 29.97...but the original footage was 23.97. what should I do about it? It's 6.05. I told you. I exported a 3 minutes movie before with the same settings, the titles were clear and it exported the full length! I Could extract stills and post them but then again: it's for practicing purposes...it's a trailer on the bucket list! and I don't know if I'm aloud to post it here. you could watch it on youtube too and see how bad the quality is but I'm not sure either if Iby Katrin1980 - Café LA

I'm back at my computer. how do I get to know what kind of formatting it is? utitlities and then...? sorry to ask all that but I was just never faced with that kind of an issue. @strypes: bros in Munich? like relatives or friends?
