Re: ScreenFlow export for FCP - 13 years agoThat makes perfect sense. I did have to use the zoom in feature in Screenflow at some parts, but what you said worked. I was able to get a sharp recording in FCP. Thank you so much Dave for helping me outby Laurie - Café LA Re: FCP won't open one particular project - 13 years agojust an update. The project works on the intern's computer at home. So we had her bring her external hard drive back to us and dump the project all over again here. The newly imported projects works fine so we are going to move on from there. I think you're right about the Autosave being the main cause of the issue. We made sure to do a "save as" to the computers hard drive to makeby Laurie - Café LA Re: (Rumor?) Apple scaling Final Cut Studio apps to fit prosumers - 13 years agoHow about "Chuck Norris Edit Pro" I think that sums up awesome, kick a$$, and beyond.by Laurie - Café LA Re: Installed a new compressor card now FCP crashes - 13 years agoWill do. Thanks anyways. I just thought since it was only effecting my FCP that maybe someone else came across this isssue too. I started looking through there forums and FAQ and it seems the majority of their issue is the creating chapters. I will post my question today and let you all know what they say.by Laurie - Café LA Re: Jittery Video - 13 years agoif you have idvd try that just to see if it still gives you the jitters.by Laurie - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Installed a new compressor card now FCP crashes - 13 years agowe recently installed ourselfs a Matrox Compressor HD card into our Mac Pro OSX. It made out Adobe After Effect work quicker with little issue, however FCP seems to be crashing very easily. Once FCP crashes we have to shut down the computer completely because all other applications (even if not previously opened) will start to follow FCP and crash. I always have issues exporting as a qt movie. qt conversion hardly ever gives me any troubles. So happy it works now for you, sorry I can't tell you why it did. Maybe a Mod would know?by Laurie - Café LA Re: New Final Cut Pro user Q's - 13 years agohow about if you export using qt conversion, just for a test make it h.264 best quality, current frame rate. resize it to about half. I agree a lot with filmman about a lot of scene cutting so fast you can't tell the good from the bad guys. That's when I stop paying attention. The test is all multiple choice? I thought it was more like an essay, like 'write all the ways you can insert an edit.'by Laurie - Café LA Re: Correcting Complexion - 14 years agoGreat Tips! I like the blue channel idea, nice! The reason I mentioned the profile shot is because in the article Michael shared, it mentioned that it can be tempermental on frames that doesn't show the full face. The article gave the example of one frame that didn't show enough of the person's lips. That's just the analyze button though. I have been trying out the Beauty Box. Pretty nice!by Laurie - Café LA Re: Correcting Complexion - 14 years agoGreat read Michael! Thank you. I would love to go to the meeting but I am on the east coast. I wonder how the analyze feature would work on two people on frame? One person closer to the camera than the other? Or maybe one person looking at the camera, the other is a profile? He brought up the fact that HD cameras show every unflattering detail in a person?s face such as wrinkles, pimple, and so on. Shane Ross recommended Sheffieldsoftworks.com?s Electronic Make-up plug in. I downloaded the demo and was very impressed. It is a program to send holiday cards (just cards) to wounded Soldiers recovering at the VA hospital. So while you are sending out cards to family and loved ones, please consider sending at least one more to Service man or woman.
