This meeting is generously sponsored by ProMax, Gefen and lafcpug The Los Angeles Debut of...Final Cut Pro 5 and Soundtrack ProThis event is open to the public but it is first come, first seated. There should be plenty of seats. Join us Tuesday May 3, 6:45PM at the historic Digital Cinema Lab (Pacific Theater) in Hollywood CA. for what might possibly be the biggest and most important meeting of the year. There is MUCH more to Final Cut Pro 5 than Multicam and Multichannel Audio. FCP product designer Brian Meaney and others from the FCP team will be down from Cupertino to not only show off these two top ten requests, but go DEEP inside this new version to show you everything you need to know before you buy. This is a rare opportunity to not only see FCP 5 up close and personal but see it demoed by some of the folks who built it. And yes there will be plenty of time to ask questions and give feedback. Soundtrack Pro had to be one of the big hits of NAB. Certainly is was the most talked about. Alec Little, Product Manager of Soundtrack Pro will show you just why this may be the audio app for not only the rest of us, but all of us. And yes, there will be plenty of time to ask questions and give feedback. NOTE: For those of you who cant make it to this meeting and have questions you feel need to be asked, please send them to fcpquest@yahoo.com. Lisa Brenneis and myself will sort through them all and pick what we consider the "top ten." We will then present them to Brian and the FCP team and publish the answers here at lafcpug.org shortly thereafter. Keep watching this page. It will be updated daily. And spread the word. Doors open 5:30PM Show starts at 6:45PM - until we drop There will be a $5.00 donation respectfully requested at the door

You do not want to miss this. 7:00PM - 7:15PM - "AJA, FCP and the Super Bowl and World Series" - Ted Schilowitz If any of you out there watched the World Series and the Superbowl this year, you watched a lot of Final Cut Pro HD in action at the highest and most demanding levels. No second chances here - so when Fox wanted to experiment with cost effective non-linear editing systems in the broadcast trucks for pre-game and in game use, they went to AJA video and their brand new Kona2 card. Ted Schilowitz, Worldwide product manager for the Mac gear from AJA (also known as "the iTed") was on site for the pressure cooker of the Superbowl, and will show off some behind the scenes HDV footage and still pix of the systems in action, and tell us some fun stories of how it was done. 7:15PM - 7:45PM - Soundtrack Pro - Alec Little STP Product Manager Alec Little will take us through this most unique "visual" audio editing and sound design application that may be best described as "Whoa!
