The 1st annual lafcpug Holiday "Toys" Party
Join us for the first ever lafcpug holiday Toys party featuring all the toys you want under your tree but were afraid to ask your spouse or parents for.
Show will feature all you need to know about the Sony XDCAM EX (we will show footage and show you how to edit XDCAM in FCP). Shane Ross will show us the Matrox MXO. Brian Valente from redrockmicrowill be on hand to show off their very cool and useful cinema accessories for the digital filmmaker. Plus Show and Tells, Stump the Gurus Wearing Santa Hats, Larry Jordan with this months FCP tip/trick of the month, and of course, World Famous Raffle where we will be giving away a MXO and something super secret from Sony. The party of the year for gearheads!. Dec 12 at the Gallery Theatre

6:45- 7:15PM - Stump the Gurus
Join FCP Gurus Andrew Balis, Larry Jordanand Shane Ross as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning FCP. If they can't solve your problem or answer your How 2, then you go home with a problem but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.

7:20PM - 7:35PM - Hidden features in Final Cut Pro 6.0.2 - Lary Jordan
Larry Jordan returns with another of his killer demos. This time, he'll show us some of the hidden features in Final Cut Pro 6.0.2.

7:35PM - 7:55PM - 'redrockmicro' - Brian Valente
Brian Valente from redrockmicrowill be on hand to show off their very cool and useful cinema accessories for the digital filmmaker. They will show their gear with the HVX200 as well as a preview of the "microX flip accessory."

7:55PM - 8:20PM - 'Matrox MXO' - Shane Ross
Another toy we want. The Matrox MXO. is inexpensive HD monitoring and frame-accurate, broadcast-quality HD/SD output and Genlockable HD/SD scan conversion for flicker-free video output of your computer desktop. Shane Ross will take us on a brief tour

8:20PM - 8:30PM - Hey Now! - Zack Young - Show and Tell

ProMax will be in the lobby showing off their toys. Brad Wright of VeeScope Live will be in lobby complete with Green Screen. GMAX will be there showing off their storage solutions. Lots of other stuff will be showing off too. The break is a chance to hang out and meet and greet and get your problems solved. Lots of FCP Gurus come to lafcpug meetings and this is your chance to network and make contacts and get your problems solved. Snacks and Beer and Wine will be on sale in the lobby. Proceeds go to the Gallery Theater.

9:00PM - 9:45PM - Sony XDCAM EX - Doug Jensen and Curtis Harris
The Sony XDCAM EX is possibly the hottest camcorder in the world right now. And we have Cameraman Doug Jensen of Vortex Media who has probably logged more hours on this camera than anyone outside of its inventors, to show it to us. Curtis Harris of ProMax will also join Doug in talking about workflow and how to edit XDCAM with FCP.

9:50PM - 10:00PM - "A Christmas Movie Scrapbook" - Les Perkins - Show and Tell
Les Perkins returns to show off the trailer to his latest creation, A Christmas Movie Scrapbook. Just in time to get us all into that holiday spirit.
