How do you output from FCP?

I did a great job of editing. I just learned FCP 5. I've been doing this for the past month -- first with FCP 4.5 and now as of two weeks ago, I'm using FCP 5 upgrade. But now I can't get the 45 minute movie out of FCP. If someone can suggest how to get a HD 1080i movie out to camera, I'd appreciate it. As for making DVDs, I can't do anything. I tried reading the manuals for iDVD and DVD Studio Pro, but nada. Please help. Thanks.

Export your finished project as a self contained movie, open in FCP, have your HDV camera hooked up via firewire in VCR mode, choose "export to tape" function in FCP, hit record on your camera.

Good luck!

P.S. You can take that self contained movie that is on your computor into Compressor, down convert to DV, then burn that in iDVD for an easy distribution option.

Should I use media manager to remove the excess part of the scenes? My movie is 45 minutes long. And when making quick time movie, what settings shall I use? There are so many choices.
