AIFF *is* the way to go. But if you "burn" the CD by dragging the file onto the CD on the Desktop, it will be burned as a data CD and that won't play on consumer players. You need an application like Toast or iTunes to burn audio-format CDs. Even then, some players have trouble playing CDs burnt from computers. To play on my car radio, I have to put my computer-burnt CDs through a dual-well CD dubber and use special CD stock, the kind that reads "Music".
