So I shot my spec commercial on hdv with sony z1. edited it and like to compress it and put it on my website but all the presets squeezing the 1060i into a regular 4:3 dv format, the result is distorted.
Any ideas how compress it inot a mpeg4?
Thanks
Max

If you want to show off HDV (and I think compressing for web amplifies its issues though), you should use H.264 and supply a link so users can download QT7. You should duplicate the H.264 800Kbps Web Download preset. Go into Geometry and set Frame Size to "Custom" and create an HD frame size like 320x180 or maybe 480x270 or other 16:9 ratio. You may have to change the bit rate for quality and various broadband speeds. You may have to experiment with other Geomerty settings but this should send you on the right path.
