Quick Survey

How many new, we assume improved, and incompatible HiDef formats are going to be introduced at CES?

My guess is for CES:

HDV3 1080p @ 24, 25, 30, 50, 60

And apparently according to my sources in the technical Darkside of Video - the PlayStation 3 is capable of full 1080p60 - I'd love to know how many 23" Cinema Displays are sold to PS3 users for games!

My other guesses:

By the end of the year the new HD/D-Film formats probably at NAB

Camera(s), Deck(s), CODEC(s) & Standards for:

HD 1080p @ 60, 100 and 1080i @120 for Sports/High motion capture

2K Digital Film

4K Digital Film

1 TerraByte+ HVD (Holographic Versatile Disc) Removeable storage/Backup Device & Media

Holographic HDD solutions for HD/D-film Capture/playback

A HD version (and possible D-Film version - go on Lucas you know you want to!) of the ZCam (http://www.3dvsystems.com/faq/faq.html)

A Stereoscopic 720/1080 Format & Camera for 3D film using either Polarised Projection, Field Sequential Flicker Glasses or Toshiba's new "3D without glasses" LCDs (http://www.japancorp.net/Article.Asp?Art_ID=9868)

Elvis makes a return from Xena where he has set up the first off world colony for 1950s rejects...

Yeah yeah I know what you are all saying! "3D will never take off!"

Ben
