When you have the rubber bands ALL THE WAY UP and it still needs more voume, what audio filter to use???

A couple of ways I can think of:

1. Compression.
2. Use a multi-band EQ and raise all the frequencies up.
3. Use the Tools - Audio Mixer function.

Chances are if you're at +12dB and still can't hear the sound, you can't turn it up too much more without the sound seriously degrading.

try exporting the quicktime, bringing it back into FCP and adjusting that.

Hi Michael,

You can copy your audio tracks (Option Shift) just below the original audio tracks. Now when FCP plays back it will play 4 audio tracks rather than two and this will boost your volumn.

Here's the details on Derek's first suggestion: Compression.

Select clip that you want to effect. Then go to:

Effects: Audio filters: Apple: AUDynamicsProcessor

Then, take the "master gain" up. This filter can raise the dead, so go light.
