My AUDIO is CRAZY!

My audio has a complete mind of its own.

I don't know how or why it is playing out of place.

I have a full song 4 minutes long MP3 turned into AIFF
It has been playing fine for a week never seen this before ever.

Out of nowhere now when I play the sequence at the beginning the song should play at the beginning but it does not, it plays somewhere in the middle. As if the inpoint has been changed. But i never changed any inpoint or cut anything of the audio.

I double click the audio clip to see what's going on it looks fine but the waveform does not match what comes out of the speakers.
i have restarted the program and it worked fine for a few hours but it is going crazy again.

Any fixes it keeps happening now.
THANKS.

I'm having the exact same problem except my audio started out as AIFF - I also have the exact same computer set up. I don't know what to do about it either.

Can anyone help?

Two possible fixes:

1. Dump your render files and re-render. Render files, audio or video, can become corrupted.

2. Disconnect the clip (SHIFT-D) but don't delete the media. Then reconnect it again. This flushes the connection between the clip and its source media and fixes a lot of glitches.

Never use MP3s even if they are converted. Use the original AIFF file.

It also may be a corrupt sequence. Copy/Paste the clips into a new sequence.
