Consolidation - Media Manager (FCP 5)

Does anyone know how to select multiple drives for consolidation using Media Manager? I recently bought a LaCie 500GB external drive and partitioned it twice. I thought Final Cut would give me an option to select multiple drives but obviously not. Is there a work around or do I need to reformat my drive?? Thanks for any advice.

what is your goal?

to have the same "consolidated" media on both drives?
best bet for that is to MM to one drive, then copy the folders across to the other.

but it's the same drive... just partitioned???

it really would be less trouble all round if you just re-formatted the drive into one nice big volume.
