RAM

Any comments on OWC $174 2 gig RAM (2x1025MB) vs Samsung $239 RAM for a G5. OWC is on Apple's site list.

Also, Currently first 4 RAM slots each have 256MB. is there any advantage to installing new RAM in first slots?

Same brands of Ram seem to get along better than different brands. Those 4 slots of only 256 each will become a problem if you want to put a lot of Ram in your Mac. Might be best to yank them now and throw in a couple (2x1025MB)

ive used PNY from compUSA for the last 4+ years exclusively and ive never had a spot of trouble. and they are as competitive as any other brand price wise.

maybe im old fashioned but i like being able to actually go to a store where i have a face to face relationship with my sales rep
