How can i get this effect? whatever it is called

Heyguys, you know how when.. errrr our transmission to our TV gets cut, and we get no reception, the screen becomes this black/grey mess full of THOUSANDS of little particles slugging it out with each other constantly.

Lolz, other then video taping such footage, is there a way FCP can replicate it? Coz i'd like to use it as an effect.

TV noise? This topic's been covered many times in the forum. Do a search of message bodies for "video noise" or "TV noise". Also check the Generator (lower right corner of the Viewer window, the button with the "A" on it). Under Renders there's a "Noise" object. That will give you the image of the
noise, but not the sound.

I just set up my camera and shot some noise myself once. Looked great! Plus I had the audio there with it.

i have some that was given to me by another fine fellow (Koz) i can prepare it to download if youd like.
