Color Correction Help

Below you will find a link for a segment we shot in an elevator with available light (maybe a mistake, but so be it). One of our actors has a much darker red skin tone than the other and as a result, so as not to make him look like a fried lobster, everything else is washed out (including the other actor's skin tones).

Does anyone have any advice about how to even this image out so that it appears deeper and richer, without over saturating the actor on the left.

It's a 5M file... so please give it a second to load.

Thanks.

Make a duplicate of the clip and put it on V2 above the first copy of the clip by option-shift-dragging the clip upwards.

Then on the V2 clip, use the crop tool to get rid of all of the picture surrounding the left hand actors face, leaving just his head in a box on screen. Now apply colour correction to the two different clips as required. You should be able to get a pretty decent match.

wow, your username seems to be a description of the way you shoot - I AM SOOOOOOOO just kidding with you.

the best way i would suggest to fix the one guy without effecting the other guy is to lay both clips on top of each other, creating a mask on one clip (depending on whats on top of what. fathering the edges so the differenc in clips is subtlest. and the color correct they red guys clip.
