Formula for Flash Frame

Hi,
I once remember someone saying they had a formula for a perfect flash frame. Something like 5 frames of white with 1 second fades in and out --- something like that. I'm looking to create a camera flash effect between two clips. Anybody?

Good free plugins at [mattias.nu] includes Flash Frame, a great little transition that is easily controlled.

Thanks, Scott. I downloaded the files and it put a portable hard drive icon on my desktop. When I open it, it's text files which the site says they're supposed to be text files. Not sure where to keep them or how to use them. Do I just drag one I want to use into a project bin in FCP?

Didn't read the instructions, huh?

Don't double-click on them, don't open them. Quit Final Cut Pro, put the plugin objects into this folder below and then relaunch FCP:

Macintosh HD - Library - Application Support - Final Cut Pro System Support - Plugins

I honestly didn't see any insructions, but then again I'm pretty fried from editing for 12 hours.

Thank you very much. I have successfully put them into the plug in folder.

Jeez...does anybody really need a plug-in to create a flash frame? L-A-Z-Y:

* White Solid
* 3 frame fade in
* 1 frame solid white
* 7 frame fade out
* Composite Mode = ADD
