Text is fuzzy edged

I have lower 3rd text throught my recent video and the text, Akzident Grotesk, or Arial and Arial Rounded, is not hard edged but instead is soft edged. Almost as soft as what I might expect from a drop shadow.

I am using FCP 4.5 on a G4 1.2+GB hard drive with external storage.

where did u get the text? or where was it created?

how are you looking at? on your cpu screen or an external monitor?

are there any effects or filters on the text?

is the lower 3rd animated or static?

whaT COLOR IS THE TEXT AND LOWER 3RD?

great article! thanks, Derek! LOL. I just realized, while i was transferring font to the other machine, that the real Apple Braille font doesn't look the way it does in Final Cut.

to add on to Phil's article- all text should be moved from the text generator and not from the motions tab. Also, they should fall on integer values.

What i'm a little confused about- is to lower the opacity to 90%. is this after lowering the whites to 80-90%?
