Does anyone know how to do this? I have an Avid EDL and I need to recapture the footage in final cut. Thanks!

If the EDL was created properly, it should be as easy as going to File>Import>EDL.

EDL's are old skool. They predate, Avid, FCP and any other NLE. So, you'll see formats like "CMX3600", or GVG-1.0, or ACE, etc.

So... any NLE that can import an EDL regardless of where it came from.

I can import the EDL, I need to re-capture the footage off of the Film to tape transfers that was originally captured in Avid.

Hi Billy,

just chose "Recapture" under "Import For" in the Import EDL dialog box. then right click all the Master Clips in the Browser and choose "Batch Capture...".
