How do I open P2 Media in FCP?

We are running the latest version of Final Cut Pro on a G5. We have P2 media on an external drive. When we tried to import it; It only imported the bit maps and would not recognize the video/audio files.

Thanks, it's a great tutuorial but in our import meun, it does not list P2 files as an option.

What version of FCP are you using?

Hopefully will chime in with an answer if you're using an older version, but the answer might be "upgrade"....

Do you have the entire CONTENTS folder? If not then you will have problems.

But yeah, if you don't have an PANASONIC P2 option on your import options, then you may not be running the most current version.
