audio synch head scratcher

Hi,

A few weeks back I switched my speaker setup around to take advantage of some better-quality speakers. I plugged them into my G5 rather than my Mackie mixer. (They only have a mini-jack right now). So in FCP I set the audio output to "built in audio" and all was in synch, as well as with Firewire-out for going to tape etc. (Basic DV, never had a problem. Footage is in synch in Quicktime etc.)

Now my clips are out of sync in the timeline when I use Built in audio, but are OK when using Firewire out for audio output. I've searched the forum but can't find anything that has helped. Same clips, same settings ... just Built in audio setting is out of synch.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,

PL

nothings wrong. thats just the way it works.

if you have video out set to firewire and audio out set to built in, it WILL play back out of sync.

Thanks for the confirmation.

I could swear that everything played in sync though, up until today.
