EDL is it working??

I need to make an EDL for an infomercial for placing the 800#'s, I have not done an EDL before so I do not know witch kind to select on the output. i just went with the default and after export I tried to import it to make sure it worked but all I see it a seq with one layer at the head nothing else so it looks to me like something is wrong.

Any one have experience with this kind of thing?

Hey Mark,
This is Mark, you should try to go for a CMX3600 edl (best) or a CMX 340.. You may stuggle a little if you have multiple layers, and the BEST solution of all is to get Automatic Duck to import and export, as it does a great job of reconforming all info on your timeline, including sizing, crops, grading etc... If you still want to use CMX version, then I suggest you try doing a separate EDL for each layer of video. Long-winded I know, but better chances of success.. Also, make sure you enable ALPHANUMERIC reel numbers. For REEL CONFLICTS, I think Pre-read is best. Keep all the rest ticked
