Exporting to tape

Hi, i'm unable to print to video (dv) using final cut pro 4.5. Powerbook G4.

I've tried two seperate dv cameras a cannon mv3xi and jvc gr-d340ek and two different firewire leads. I can capture video fine in final cut with both cameras but not export to tape.

When i click print to video final cut activates the recording setting on the camera and it starts recording but no video or audio from final cut is recorded.

Any advice/solutions would be great.

Make sure View - External Video is set to All Frames, not None. And check your Video Playback settings as well. Those are independent of capture settings -- just because your settings allow a signal in doesn't mean they would allow a signal out.

Video playback is through apple firewire pal and all frames is ticked but still getting no audio or video on my dv camera......
