24p editing recipe?
August 22, 2006 01:56PM
I am working with the panasonic dvx100 and logging my 24p footage. Not 24p advanced! What should I log it in as? 23.98 or 24 fps? I am having sound sync issues on some, but not all, and i logged it in using 24 fps not 23.98.
Also I working on a documentary that incorporates 30 fps and my footage @ 24 fps. What should I edit my sequence in? Am I still going to get that film like look editing in 30 fps?
What I need is a formula for this project. the final product will be a dvd. I want to make sure I get the best quality.
The interviews and some b-roll footage is in 24p (regular)
The stock footage is @ 30 fps.
I would think this was a common scenario, any recipes?

thanks
todd
