Hi--

Ken suggested I post an issue I've been having with my Sony HDR-HC1 not being recognized by FCP 5.1.1.

Just to recap the steps taken so far:

I've reinstalled QT as suggested by Apple:

I checked in Apple's FCP list of Qualified Devices and the HC1 is there.

Checked to make sure the camera was set to Tape/Playback (VTR mode) and to the correct output settings for HDV over Firewire.

The camera is recognized by ASP.

I'm running 10.4.6, and QT 7.1.3.

Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am running 10.4.7. / QT 7.1.3. and my Dual 2.5 G5 sees my HDR-HC1 just fine. Just make sure your FCP "Easy Set-up" is set to HDV-1080i60 FireWire Basic.
