How do I set the frame rate of imported graphics?

I have a project with one 23.98 sequence. When I import TIFF files, the resulting clips are set at 29.97, so I get a red render bar when I put them in the timeline. How do I import them at the desired frame rate?

Importing still into an FCP project should make a fixed (10 sec) clip of the still set as the project setting. The render bar may be taking into consideration that the graphics are not sized to the project default format, IE: DV at 720x 480 pixels, etc. grinning smiley

Are you talking about an image sequence?

If you are, you set the frame rate in the software which you made the animation.

If not see the post above...

Use Quicktime Pro to import and create a Quicktime out of an image sequence. Set the frame rate in the options dialog and use whatever codec you've been using to dig your project. Import the quicktime into FCP.

If you import an image sequence directly into Final Cut Pro you won't be able to edit it.
