I just posted a video tutorial on how to create a plugin on www.proapptips.com, since I didn't do the demo a the last meeting. It is on the main page, along with a how to use Compressor to upconvert DV to HD.

Enjoy!

Hi Shane,

Cool tutorial!

May I add some stuff to make it even cooler?
I don't wait for the answer, just give it.
1) Open the controls of the clip with the filter applied, select the filter, press option-return, the filter (or generator) will open in FX-Builder (as long it is not encrypted).

2) After the filter has been saved and FCP has been closed, cmd-click FCP in the dock or select in Finder, press cmd-I. On the bottom you'll find "Plug-ins", now press "Add" in this section and navigate to the newly created plug-in.
This way you can keep your "private" plugins in separate folder and switch them on or off on FCP start-up. This will work with other plug-ins as well.

Kind regards
Andreas
