Broadcast WAV export

Hi. does anyone know if you can export Broadcast WAV audio out of final cut?

At the moment, no. At least not via a simple "export as" routine. In the newest FCP update (to be released soon, I think this month) you supposedly can, but no one's actually seen it yet to test full bwf functionality.

What does your workflow require? Would omf do the job in the meantime?

Essentially, we were looking for a work-around to get audio into our avids with timecode and a source tape attached. We were in a situation where we had audio files from our sound department and we had to attach a tape source name to the files before we imported. The only way we thought of doing that was Broadcast Wav. This isnt our daily routine, just a one-time occurance. Thanks for the help.
