animation frame or field rendered to FCP

We are starting some 30sx commercials and I was wondering if from the
animation package I would have to send the renders out as either
frames or field rendered to go into FCP that would be set up for
10 bit uncompressed and then mastered out on Betacam SP.

If I imported frames from the animation package, would FCP automatically
create the fields that I need when I recorded the commercials out to
Betacam.

in this situation, the FCP would only be used as a importer/send out to
Betacam interface.

Does any one have some tips in this regard

Import as 23.976 and use any of the festival of fiine conversion tools to put 3:2 pulldown in and then ship it out as a 29.97 NTSC show (assuming you're in NTSC land). The 3:2 tools should convert from animated frames to NTSC fields.

The problem is the animators insist on animating at 24.00 instead of 23.976. We get around that with Avid tools and a DigiBeta machine. I don't know how to do it in Final Cut.

Are the animators delivering in piles of numbered frames or some version of QuickTime?
