softer graphics to match footage in fcp

i have a motn file in my time line within a composite ( if that made sense). i created this file when i was monitoring my edit differently. the main portions of this this composite is the motn file and some progressive scan footage. the motn file comes as an opening (10secs) then it moves into the video by way of a wipe trans. the motn file really looks rudely interlace-ish while the footage looks much softer in progressive.

how do i get the motn file to look more like my progressive scan footage?

ps the motn file has animated text only and it comes after a kinemac file that has the look i need or at least very close to what i need.
