Frame Rate / Batch Exporting

Frame Rate / Batch Exporting

So,

I am trying an experiment that coincides with my current other posting about Blackmagic vs AJA.
As my computer is still not happy.

Figured I'd do a test and batch export some of my P2 media files from 29.97 to 59.94 as my new AJA doesn't support 29.97 HDVPro.

However, when I export the 29.97 to a new QT file in 59.94 from FCP, it cuts the 2nd half of the clip off. Literally in half. Which of course is the 29.97 to 59.94 ratio. So for some reason the 2nd half of every clip is missing.

Is there a way to do this? Settings for export? I did try exporting from the timeline and making the out point twice as long as the clip. got the whole thing but some additional black at the end. There must be a more scientific approach.

Suggestions?

You recorded DVCPRO HD at 29.97 with the HVX? What setting?

I just captured HDV from the Canon XL H1 as DVCPRO HD 1080 29.97 using my LH and it worked fine. I display it using the AJA KONA 1080i30 8-bit option. Plays out fine.
