Can AIFF files carry timecode?

I'm receiving some aif files from a protools session. Can timecode from the session come over to FCP embedded in the aif files?

No, aiff files don't carry original tc. Easy fix though is to have the audio guys give you a list of the timecodes at each filestart, and then modify the timecode of the audio clips once you've imported them into FCP.

get them to give you bwf files ... those should carry the timecode over
