5.1.2 won't recognize Cannon HV10

My boss shot some footage on a Cannon XLH1 at 1080i 24f. Now he wants to capture from a Cannon HV10, but FCP won't recognize the camera as a capture source at 24f. Is this an issue with the camera or with FCP?

The camera records everything at 29.97. 60i (60 interlaced fields, which is normal video), 30f (30 full frames) and 24f (24 frames with 3:2 cadence).

which suggests that this camera might change to 48Hz when in the 24F mode (Canon won't give details) and therefore, actually records 48 fields per second, eliminating the pulldown. Try capturing in 23.976 and see if that works.
