Capturing Ch 3 Audio w/ XLH1

Oy.. first off, I'm running FCP 5.0.4 on a Dual 2 G5 with 10.4.8 OS X

I have a monster project here. I had 3 cams [all XLH1's] running at an 8 hour seminar. Yup, 20+ tapes. All Cams taping in HDV.

I did a DV down convert using the system above without any video issues. So far so good.

The issue I have is that I didn't realize that the main audio mix was on channel 3 of the tapes.[The on site Shure mixer was plugged into the XL's 1/3 XLR and chan 3 was selected the whole time]

How do I capture the channel 3 audio only off the XLH1 with time code so I can lay it into my timeline. Yes, I see lots of work ahead of me, but it must be done.

I do not have a BMagic or Kona card and the HDSDI out would not carry the timecode anyway.

Will the 5.1 upgrade help me?

Can the firewire connection carry chan 3 audio to my G5 somehow even if I do upgrade? [I'm unable to select 4 channel recording in the capture window; it's greyed out.]
