Just called Dual Systems about their new DuelAdapter which they say will ship by the end of this month.

At this time the DualAdapter will NOT read P2 cards. I was told that we will need a new Panasonic driver (not yet available) to enable this feature.

WHAT? But they claim it on their website.

Man...Well, maybe by the time they ship it, the driver will be available. But I heard on DVXUser.com from one of the beta testers that it works now, and works well.

Sure about that? Phone techies are notorious for not knowing stuff.

Hi Shane,

I called and got to teck support. When I asked, I was put on hold while the teck checked on it. When he came back he told me about the need of the driver from Panasonic.

Considering that the product is not yet shipping I guess that we can wait to learn more.

Vaporware, sheesh.

Mike,

As all of this is vaporware I'm wondering if we might not be able to pay with vaporcash. That I have a lot of.

I got pocketfuls of that too. Know of any good restaurants that take it?

Yes I do, Chéz Ken. Well, it's really just a beer bar. (g)

When Rick Young brought his borrowed HVX200 PAL over we did a firewire transfer from the camera to my G5. We did not need drivers, interesting.
