I have loaded my copy of FCP 4 onto my new i book pro however it will not run due to a config problem and is asking for a different graphics card.
Can anyone shed any light on this problem
Cheers

There is no such thing as an iBook Pro. There are MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

And FCP 4 wil not run on them, as it was designed for PowerPC macs, and the new Apple laptops employ Intel chips. You either need to either:

1) use the following hack -

Which may or may not work. Hit or miss. And if you get it working, it will not work as fast as it did before, as it will be running under emulation.

2) Upgrade to FCP 5.1

Unfortunately the special upgrade pricing, which was available for OVER a year, ended. You'll have to pay full price for the new version.

Thanks for that, you were right it is a mac book pro, I have way too many mac's in my studio.
I guess I will just have to cough up the money for 5.1, I was hoping to avoid that.

Probably best to wait 3 weeks & get the new stuff.
