Okay so NTSC uses tall rectangular pixels and photoshop and other graphic programs use square pixels.
What are the pixel dimensions of these formats:
1- 1080i
2 - 720p
3 - PAL

Thank you very much - very useful information.
Does this mean that all the HD formats that aren't full size (1920x1080)
are using non-square pixels to achieve thier size.

Sorry should have put this down but:

PsF

Is sometimes referred to as: Progressive Segmented Frame

and sometimes as: Progressive Sequential Fields

Basically they mean the same thing.

This is where a progressive frame is split up into two parts and spread across an interlaced format such as PAL or NTSC or 1080i but retains the progressive look.
