Color not for 15" MacBook Pro? PfA?

From the tech specs, looks like Color is not supported on a 15" MBP even though they both have the same x1600 video card with the same 256 VRAM. So does that mean it won't even install? or just not supported (use at your own risk)? Can PfA confirm which?

Sorry, but no. Its not just the graphics card, the screen resolution must be 1680x1050 minimum. The 15' does not support this resolution.

What happens if you plug an external screen into your MB Pro that does support 1680x1050 minimum?

Here I'm guessing since we'll have to wait to see what actual behavior happens when it releases and we get our hands on it and get a chance to read the documentation that will ship with it, but I'm inclined to believe each attached display needs to be the minimum resolution for it to work.
