How do I make a watermark logo on a clip?

Just put a Text or Boris Title 3D wherever you want a watermark. Reduce the Opacity to control how visible it is.

If you need a watermark filter, here's a workaround:

I wouldn't use this method unless you absolutely need it on your master clips in the Browser. Filters are a lot more fussy to remove if you're using other filters (eg. Color Corrector, Flop) in your edit. If you do it as a text layer on top, you can turn it on or off with just one command (CONTROL-B -- Clip Enable/Disable).

Well, same theory. Did you actually try those methods?

Put the logo on an upper track and then either use a Composite mode to make it translucent, or lower its Opacity. The Compound Arithmetic method works for images as well.

FWIW, you can add a watermark in Compressor.

in the filters section.
you point to an existing file, and can place it, size is and adjust opacity.

this is great if you need to add different watermarks to individual DVDs.
