Can I install fcp 2 studio and still Keep FCP Studio installed.

Can i have two different versions of FCP on my Computer?
i would like to keep 5.1 on but try out fcp 6 until i know it doesn't have any bugs that prevents me from fishing my projects.

If you want to do this I would advise you to load one of the suites onto an external or different internal drive.. reason being, that since you are using the same serial number for both copies, and the myriad of support files would be somewhat duplicated, it may be best to separate them completely onto two different volumes.

You can load a complete copy of MacOS X along with Studio 2 onto a second drive and boot from that drive when using Studio 2. later on move Studio 2 to your home directory.

Okay. Thanks for the advice. I will just install it on a another hard drive and operating system. that is the safest way.
But i will have to serial codes one for each program. My FCP studio 5.1 is educational discount. I just bought the full version of FCP studio 2. should be here tomorrow.
