Encode Video TS

I had video already compressed in a dvd and I need to use a couple of shots so I ripped it and now I have it in a folder (Video_TS) what's the best way to encode it so that I can load it into FCP? I have a software which I downloaded free (ffmpegX), but I don't knwo which setting (encoder) should I select to get the top queality. Any recommendations? Any better soft to download?

Go to the Apple web site and download MPEG Streamclip, or use DVDxDV from the forum store. DVDxDV is much easier to use, but you have to throw money.
