FCP2 and Sound Track Pro2 Interface

Admittedly I am very new to Sound Track Pro2 and I've assumed that when I send an audio clip to SP2 (using the send feature) and then make changes to it in SP2, that the changes will be changed in the original track in FCP. This is not happening, so I'm assuming that there is some step (s) I'm missing, or it really does't work this way.

I've watched the tutorials till I fell asleep, woke up and watched them again and still am lost in the fog.

Does it actually work this way?

Do I have to make the clip an aiff file and import it back into FCP?

The fine print in the pdfs are very hard on my poor eyesight so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

No. Send to SoundTrack Pro. Export from SoundTrack Pro back to Final Cut Sequence. Use the Export menu to create a sequence back in FinalCut

the first time you highlight audio and right click and choose- -Send To --STP
after fixing audio you do a-- Save --

then any changes you made in STP will be Updated in your FCP project

need to make more changes More changes --
use-- Open in Editor --from this point forward and your audio will be
opened in STP automatically -
Make changes and Save and audio file updates in FCP -- Jay--
