HDV Print to Video
July 06, 2007 02:39PM
Hi,

I'm trying to Print a 24p HDV project back to a JVC HD GY-110U, but am not getting an image in the camera monitor, let alone anything to tape. I set my parameters under Preferences>Audio/Video Settings>A/V Devices - and checked the box for "Different Output for Edit to Tape/Print to Video (and chose HDV 1280x720 24p). Under the "Playback Output" my HDV choices were grayed-out and not clickable.

When I started the conform process, it seemed to work, but once it started the process to lay it to tape, I could see it "mirroring" on my computer monitor, but in the JVC camera it made the screen blue, and it didn't lay down any audio either.

An quick response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Eric

Funny, I came to this site about 2 hours ago with a similar problem. The difference for me was that I was trying to print HDV to my Sony HVR-Z1U.

My solution: I remembered that I had been editing in NTSC-DV and I simply reset my easy setup to HDV 1080 60i and that annoying blue screen on my camera went away when I was ready to print to tape.

Hopefully it is something that simple for you as well!
