FCP express on macBook

So a buddy of mine's son has a MacBook that I have just tried to load FCP express HD 3.5 on, but i get an error message "needs GDP graphix card".

Now I am not in anyway familiar with the express version, but isn't that the point of Express, to be able to run on smaller, non-pro systems.

He's running:
2.0 intel.
1GB ram

wouldn't think this to be a prob.

If at first you don't succeed, keep ****ing it up 'till it works!

How old is the Macbook? I'm not familiar with Express either but the Apple page does list specific graphics cards and processor requirements. I don't think any app could hope to be backwards compatible indefinitely while still keeping up with the latest technology...

I'm not sure, but it is an intel based mac

He's running 2.0 Ghz, 1gb ram with a GMA graphics crad
(which support is supported by 3.5)

Just press the escape key when you get the message and ignore it.
