ok, need to add a new firewire buss to this g5. it's a pci-x model and from my understanding a pci car adna pci-x card are keyed the same, but apparantly they aren't. At the same time I haven't been able to track down a pci-x firewire buss for it either. Any tips, suggestions or help here? I'm hopelessly stumped stumped.

PCI - 33 Mhz and PCI-X 100-133 are interchangable card wise. That is if the card is backward compatible to 33 Mhz. Sonnet Tech has several PCI cards that work in the PCI-X bus that create Firewire 400 and 800 Mbps.
