rocket raid card?

hey guys
anyone have experience, good or bad, with rocket raid card and raid5? i am updating my system and debating between going raid5 with rocket raid card and my 2 external 4 disc raids, or using a sonnet card and running the two raid boxes as raid 0, where i copy one to the other once a week as a backup.

so....what has peoples' experience been with raid5 using the rocketraid card?

thanks!

I have personally used the Rocket Raid 2320 in a RAID 0 configuration in my Quad G5 for over two years and I also sell them as supporting the external 4 drive X4 RAID enclosure.

My customers love the compact size and footprint and the speed they get with RAID 0 or 5.

Since the RAID is set "on card" instead of by the MacOS Disk Utility, it will not break when you upgrade or reinstall your operating system.

I get around 240 MB/secod on reads from a 4 SATA drive RAID 0 set. With this setup I am not as concerned about loosing data ecause I can literally uninstall the card and reinstall it in another computer and the RAI set come back alive, when the appropriate driver is loaded.
